"What's on the Rack?" Issue #8: Aquamen, Fireflies, Killers, Carnage and many steps...

It's that time of the week again, and so it's time to take a look at all the new comics on the rack here in Harrogate. As ever you can click on our cover of the week to go to browse the full rack online, or scroll on down to check out our highlights.

Black Widow #14 Cover by Adam Hughes
Black Widow #14 Cover by Adam Hughes

We confess we almost flipped a coin to decide between the stunning image of Elektra from the cover of Black White & Blood #2 and the cover of Black Widow #14, also by Adam Hughes.

We went for Elektra because in the end we thought it was more striking and made better use of what we think is called "negative space" but we'll leave you to make up your own mind about which is best.

Adam Hughes is one of the most consistently excellent cover artists in comics - his grasp of form and composition is always brilliant and as you see here, he can do a lot with a very limited palette.

Anyway - here are our highlights for the week, including great Sci-Fi, horror, martial arts and superheroics. Truly, we continue to live in a golden age of comics.
