Welcome to the show notes for the sixtieth edition of Geeking with Destination Venus!
We began with the sad death of the British comics writer Alan Grant, whose work was instrumental in getting Regie into comics. Read more about him HERE and HERE.
We then got in to the Eisner Awards, commonly referred to as "the comics Oscars". Check out the full results HERE.
Regie then moved on to cover some of the announcements made at the San-Diego ComicCon. Read more about those HERE and HERE.
Regie also mentioned a podcast series about the history of ComicCon. It is called Comic-Con Begins - you can find it wherever you get your podcasts or download it from HERE.
We then moved on, as Regie got very excited about the release of this clip from the Sandman TV show:
I'm not crying - you're crying.
Since we're talking about Sandman, here's the trailer:
We think they might have nailed it.
Finally our Wonderful Woman of Science this week was Caroline Herschell. Astronomer, singer, spectacular talent. Read more about her (because we ran out of time to cover all of her achievements) HERE.
And that's about it.
We'll be back next week with episode #61. Until then, be kind to yourself, be kind to yourself, stay safe and above all else, stay geeky!
