TITLES SHIPPING 27TH MAY NOW ON THE DESTINATION VENUS WEBSITE...
...or at least they will be by the end of the day. We'll be taking the delivery in, sorting standing orders and invoicing on Wednesday 27th, and delivering from Thursday 28th.
We've started a bit of a re-vamp on the Website too - expect a slightly new look and some improved features. We'd appreciate any feedback that you have.
SOME KEY STAFF AT IDW BEING "LET GO"
Which is the American euphemism for "being made redundant". The story broke over at Bleeding Cool and has since been confirmed by several now former IDW employees on social media.
The timing is interesting - the U.S. based part of the industry is just beginning to kick back into gear and take staff who have been furloughed. This move by IDW suggests that they may be struggling a little, which is a worry. Here's hoping that by cutting costs in this way the publisher - which has also recently secured funding from investors, and from the U.S. version of wages protection - has put itself on a more stable footing.
SONY DEVELOPING "FEMALE CENTRIC" SPIDER-MAN FILM
Headed up by S.J. Clarkson, who directed several episodes of the Jessica Jones series on Netflix, there are no details yet but rumour has it that the movie would centre on the character of Madame Web, most recently seen in the Spider-Verse comics. We'll keep you posted. And we still hate the term "Female Centric". Nobody described Far from Home as "Male Centric".
THE SNYDER CUT OF "JUSTICE LEAGUE" COMING TO HBO MAX
It's being hailed as a "victory for the fans". Perhaps. Personally I reckon it has more to do with how much the new owners of Warner like money. It's unclear when and where the cut will be available in the UK, but it clearly will be at some point - see previous comment about how much the owners of Warner like money.

DIAMOND CONFIRM NEW SCHEDULE FOR DELIVERIES
We have previously announced that Diamond would be recommencing weekly deliveries from 20th May. As a result of various factors (their own warehouse capacity if they are to maintain social distancing and protect their staff, availability and cost of air freight and the need to be consistent) they have now revised and reduced this schedule. Deliveries will now re-start on Wednesday 27th May, and be fortnightly until the end of June, at which point they will reassess the situation.
The new schedule is as follows.
Wednesday May 27th (Regular timed deliveries to be made on Wed 27th due to Bank Holiday Mon 25th May) Wednesday June 10th Wednesday June 24th
What will actually be shipping on those dates is unclear at present. We'll keep you informed.

However, we are now able to offer an ordering service - just tell us what you want, either by e-mail, through our social media or using the form on our website (click HERE to go to the appropriate page), we'll send you an invoice and have your book (or books) shipped directly to your door. We can even have them gift-wrapped if you're sending them to somebody else. (Or if you just like unwrapping things...)
